I am a sea glass lover, writer, seeker and crafter. Searching for sea glass, combing the psyche and the sand is what I do.
Writing is how I process both my search and what I discover. I am awed by the transformation each piece of sea glass goes through to become a sought after gem. Sea glass searching is both meditation and inspiration.
I still write here about sea glass. I write on other topics, such as the healing power of writing and parenting well when you were raised in hell at www.healwritenow.com
Sea Glass Girl
I wrote this for my daughter – thought you might understand it..
Sea Glass Blue
Helen Mary
Seeks the blue
Sea worn glass
Beside the pool
Where the tide lays
On the shore
By rocks
Small stones
Sea fairies store
Though green glass glistens
On white sand
By oceans sent
To touch her hand
Helen Mary
Faithful
True
Seeks only
Ever
Sea glass blue

Hi Egal,
I’m so glad you shared this. I’d love to post it to the home page of my blog if you don’t mind? It’s nice to read how others are touched by sea glass and inspired to put words down, too. thank you for sharing this with me and everyone else who reads this blog.
I love the image of sea fairies storing the glass, and how she bypasses even the glass send by the ocean to be loyal to her sea glass blue.
Thank You!
Sea Glass Girl
Dear Sea Glass Girl,
I am glad you like it and of course you can use it.
It was written in recognition of the enduring patience of “Sea glass” gatherers! (And of course the faeries)
Sincerely
Egal..
Your poem is beautiful. I sure enjoyed it. Thank-you
how can I buy some of your sea glass Jewerley
Hi Gail,
My work is at the HIngham Farmers Market most Sat’s as well as the Hingham Coop and Hinghan Historical Society. Also, if you have a particular piece in mind (say a specific color with or without lots of beads/crystals, approx. size and with recycled sterling silver wrap) that I can make for you. I don’t yet have an online store or an etsy site but I will when the markets get quiet and there’s more time later in the fall. Thank you for asking!

you can email me directly at seaglassarts@gmail.com as well!
Hello, I found your site while searching for sites who may be interested in buying the sea glass I’ve been collecting in Carmel and Monterey California. My wife and I are originally from the South Shore and had our first date 30 years ago at Hingham Harbor followed by a movie at the theater in town. We moved west with the military, but still visit Boston/Cape Cod each year as we all our family is still in the South Shore area. I’ve since retired and started a second career teaching high school, but would be happy to just collect sea glass! We have found some really nice rare pieces and have a bunch of perfect clear, green and brown pieces that may be perfect for some of your projects or as material for your classes. I’m also finding some nice pottery pieces. Let me know if you’re interested. Thanks Bob Chambers
Hey, It’s nice to meet another sea glass lover from this area. I’m posing your comment as I’m pretty fanatical about using pieces I find myself. That may change if I teach or do some experimental projects. I’d be happy to post a link or even put a post on my blog if you have a link or are a NASG person or want to list prices. Some people selling don’t sell the authentic sea glass which is disappointing to those of us who are collecting. It sounds like yours is from all over but is your own collection, right? Thanks for writing.

Thanks for the reply. The glass I find is mainly from Carmel and Monterey, CA. I have a little from La Jolla from when we were stationed in San Diego and started collecting. Every piece has been picked up by me or my family (wife and two boys) on the beach. I don’t have a link yet and have not joined the NASG. Let me get back to you on some of the options. I have a lot of nice glass, but am not ready to start selling on the web and I haven’t thought about pricing and delivery methods. My main goal is to allow other to use what we’ve colected and to get enjoyment out of the form of art that it truley is. Any advice would be welcome.

I love your work and am looking for a seaglass mobile..do you have such a treasure? Mahalo and aloha Teri
