After going through a major life change which involved changes at home and in my work life I’ve figured out a way to balance my love of sea glass and jewelry making with the rest of my personal and professional responsibilities. I am happy to say I will be showing my work at the Hingham Farmer’s Market at least once a month starting in May of 2011. This time, my aunt will be joining me and adding an entire new dimension to the sea glass. While all of our pieces will have sea glass and I still focus on wire wrapping using recycled sterling silver, my aunt has a great sense of color and uses beads to compliment the wire wrapped sea glass. I’ll be posting pictures again soon as well as sharing more about the hunt. It’s a warm spring day and the sea glass is calling!

In the summer, hunting and making jewelry (and watching my daughter) and working take up a lot of time. So, I’m not able to post as much and I’m a fan of blogs that are current. So, I try to keep this site fresh with photos. Here are a few news ones of some recent creations. Most sold at the last market so I’m glad I got pictures.

SEA GLASS SPECTACLE

Here are some pieces of my newest work. I’m working towards using ALL recycled sterling silver with the sea glass because I want the most eco-friendly jewelry as possible and also because recycled can be more than practical or good for the environment it can be stunning. I have pendants, bookmarks and earrings right now. I’ve had some great luck with finding AMAZING colors and shapes and matching up some of the more common earrings for funky and fun earrings. On a sunny day such as today the jewelry literally shines.

Prices are $6.99 and up (book marks) to $14.99 to $19.99 (pendants) and then $19.99 to $24.99 for earrings. Many of the pieces displayed here did sell today but I’ll have more new pendants and earrings next week!

Hi All,

I have two sea glass related writings in the work that I just have to move from my at the ocean journal to here. But, for now, I post this link to the success (even in this economy) of the Hingham Farmers Market which I have to admit I feel a supreme fondness for as it is the first place I started selling my sea glass jewelry.

They have a clear mission and focus on food (and it’s fresh and delicious) and I’m lucky to be a part.
